Collection: Deep Time Geology
Deep Time Geology
This modern concept was developed in the 18th century by Scottish geologist James Hutton (1726–1797). Modern science has since established, after a long and complex history of developments, that the age of the Earth is around 4.54 billion years.
Crystal World offers a collection of the oldest rocks on earth; Acasta Gneiss, and Jack Hills Zircon.
We also have a large collection of Stromatolites, from the oldest on earth to modern day specimens.
